PLACES TO VISIT

Kufri a small hill station located 13km from Shimla on national highway 22. Kufri has Himalayan wild life zoo has a good collection of the birds and animals found here. Mahasu peak the highest peak in Kufri. Places to see in Kufri are Indira Tourist Park, Chini Banglow (famous for statues and architecture), Kufri Fun World here world's highest go-kart track is in there in Kufri fun World.
Naldehra a beautiful place known for the golf course at distance of 22 km from Shimla; here is a nag temple in the middle of the golf course. This place is one of the oldest 9 holes golf courses in India.
Narkanda a small town at distance of 65 km from Shimla surround by Shivalik ranges. It is a skiing resort in winter. Hatu peak is 5km from Narkanda. It is at an altitude of 2708 meters. Here is a church 4 km from Narkanda which was made in 1843.
Mashobra is notable for housing, one of the two Presidential retreats in India. The retreat is a complete wooden structure there is also Wildflower Hall at Chharabra. The view of the mountains from Mashobra hills is awesome all around.
Tattapani is place at the distance of 54 km from Shimla famous for the hot water coming out on the side of the river Satluj. Sulphur springs in river Satluj are popular as it is a said to have medicinal properties for the skin diseases.
Chail is a famous hill station at distance of 44 km from Shimla at the hight of 2250 meters from sea level. Things of attraction in Chail are World's highest Cricket ground, Chail Palace which was built as summer capital of Maharaja of Patiala; Pleasant place in summer and cold in winter season.
Tourist / Travellers Approach: - During all around the year i.e. summer, winter and as well as in Rainy season, almost all hotels and cabs remain packed, so travellers are advised to go for advance booking / or travellers should book in advance to avoid the non availability of hotels and cabs.
By Road - Shimla is well connected with other places in the state as well as other major towns and cities in North India.By road Shimla is 370 kilometers from Delhi, 115 kilometers from Chandigarh, 88 kilometers from Kalka, 235 kilometers from Dharamshala and 240 kilometers from Manali.
By Train - Shimla is also well connected to rail route by Narrow Gauge line to Kalka and Kalka is very well connected to all the major parts of the country including Mumbai, Calcutta, and Delhi etc.
By Air - The Airport of Shimla with a small runway is about 23 kms, from the city center. There is only one flight a day available to Shimla and the same return back to Delhi. Flights are very unreliable and depend on the wheatear conditions in the mountains specially Shimla.
